Shift Happens

Wow!

So what does it all mean to me?

  • The human race is amazing! And potentially terrifying.
  • One person can’t succeed alone. You must outsource, network, accept change, learn, grow.
  • I’m not a second-class citizen because I don’t have a college degree. I’m more up to date and educated on what is currently working, and what changes are on the horizon than most of my traditional degree friends, who can’t quite seem to catch up. Their time was spent learning outdated info!
  • Information overload is okay. Take what you need, and move on!
  • I’m excited and scared to see where we go from here. What can still be invented that hasn’t been? What will we learn that we’re clueless to right now?
  • Those that aren’t making the effort to keep up won’t even understand how far they’re behind in 6 months or a year.

These are my ramblings and opinions. This is one of those thought-provoking videos that can really change your perspective on things. What do you think? I’d LOVE to know!

On one level, I’m comforted. I feel stupid a lot because there’s just too much to know. Then on another level, I feel scared–there’s so much to know! How can we keep up?! And will computers take over the world? Maybe Hollywood isn’t that far off after all.

I think it’s definitely a possibility that computers just might grow legs and walk off! :)

I think keeping up might be out of the question. Just stay on top of what you need to know, and learn as much as you possibly can about everything else. Then just connect with the people that know the stuff that you don’t!
